Calvin is celebrating May Day too!
You know, for the longest time, I never knew that May Day was the international Labor Protest day. So, today, tens of millions of illegal immigrants are protesting over the new legislation proposed to crack down on their status in the US. The bill, which stalled in the Senate, would make felons of the illegal immigrants and calls for new walls on 700 miles of the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexican border.

I have no problem with people from other countries coming to the US to try and make a better life for themselves. That is how this country was founded and it is one of the primary tenets we have all lived under for centuries. What I have a problem with is all of the huge corporations that break the law in hiring illegal immigrants to usurp the american worker just to improve their profit margin. "Oh, I can pay less money and work these workers longer and harder and they won't complain or they will get deported? GREAT!"
WHY ARE WE TRYING TO CRACK DOWN ON IMMIGRATION WHEN WE NEED TO CRACK DOWN ON CORPORATE FELONS! Why aren't we trying to support all of the LEGAL immigrants and american workers? WHY?
I just don't understand.
