Saw my first Gary Cooper movie. :D Audrey Hepburn nails rogue playboy Gary Cooper, beating him at his own game. It would be so interesting to see how this movie would be accepted today. I also think this is a prime movie to be remade with modern themes.

Where's Nora Ephron when you need her.

Terminator's on. YES!

That movie's from 1984. giggle. Love that flick. Young naked Ahnold. Hot naked Michael Biehn. OMG. Guess who plays punks. Hee hee. Punk with spiked blue hair - Bill Paxton. LOL! Punk that jacks Ahnold in the gut (that they of course cut out of the broadcast version), Brian Thompson, in his very first movie.

Best Jaw in the industry, if you ask me. :)

Jason Statham is on Carson Daly. His next movie is DEATHRACE 3000! He starts filming in 2 weeks.

I've never seen the original, Deathrace 2000. But it was always a joke to say HIT THE OLD LADY! 200 POINTS!

This is gonna KICK ASS! Apparently, the new movie takes place in a prison, where the inmates make all the cars. I just love Jason Statham anyway.

:D :D :D

from imdb:

The film's plot follows multiple storyline. One is based around A Dame to Kill For which follows Dwight (Clive Owen) and his former love Ava Lord (Rachel Weisz), who betrayed him and ended their relationship for a wealthier man. Ava now returns years later claiming her marriage is abusive and insisting that Dwight help her. After she frames him for the murder of her husband, Dwight, with the help of Marv, seeks to clear his name. Dwight's storyline in this film is a prequel to The Big Fat Kill, which occurred in the first film. It explains how Dwight came to have his "new face" and his connections with the Old Town prostitutes. Dark Horse describes A Dame to Kill For: "It's one of those hot nights, dry and windless. The kind that makes people do sweaty, secret things. Dwight's thinking of all the ways he's screwed up and what he'd give for one clear chance to wipe the slate clean, to dig his way out of the numb grey hell that is his life. And he'd give anything. Just to cut loose. Just to feel the fire. One more time."[3] Another storyline follows Nancy (Jessica Alba) as she grieves the death of Detective Hartigan, the man she had grown to love after he rescued her from That Yellow Bastard who had kidnapped and attempted to rape then kill Nancy when she was a child.

Rob Zombie is remaking/reinventing Halloween. He starts the movie with Michael as a young boy and chronicles his first kills and how he reaches the mask stage.

I would just like to know where Jamie Lee Curtis is. :P

Trailer for the upcoming summer movie "An Inconvenient Truth". If you care about the planet you live on, even remotely, watch this trailer.

Eloquently weaves the science of global warming with Al Gore’s personal history and lifelong commitment to reversing the effects of global climate change. A longtime advocate for the environment, Gore presents a wide array of facts and information in a thoughtful and compelling way. The film is not a story of despair but rather a rallying cry.

KINKY BOOTS

OUT OCTOBER 7TH!

Kinky Boots (2005)
Directed by Julian Jarrold

How Far Would You Go To Save The Family Business?

Inspired by the true story of a traditional English men's footwear factory in Northamptonshire which turned to production of kinky boots for transvestites in order to save the ailing family business and safeguard the jobs of the local community.

The movie's main website is FABULOUS! You can "get your kinky profile" and upload a picture of your face to add into a drag queen persona! And download wallpapers. (I would have posted a pic, but they were all too big)

THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST MOVIE IN AGES!

blurb from Apple: Two outcast dreamers who finally figure out how to stand up for themselves... in thigh-high leather stilettos.  Inspired by a surprising true story, a young Englishman who inherits his father’s failing shoe factory joins a feisty female impersonator who turns Charlie’s world, and the entire luckless factory, upside down.

Finally gave in and joined Netflix. Had done the free trials to use the system before, but since I can rarely get out, I bit the bullet.

First 5 movies in the queue?

1. The Brothers Grimm
2. MirrorMask (AND I CAN'T WAIT)
3. I Heart Huckabees
4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
5. Lost in Translation

Can't go wrong with The Brothers Grimm, can't wait to delve into the brains of Neil Gaiman and the makers of Labrynth, and, you know, gotta catch up with those cool indie (though still mainstream) films. :)

Oh, and apparently, I am Marcia Brady )
