To Forgive is Divine
Holding onto resentment is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
Forgive - to cease to feel resentment against (an offender)
Resentment - a feeling of indignant displeasure or persistent ill will at something regarded as a wrong, insult, or injury
So that's what forgiveness is. I couldn't figure it out. I kept on going, "How can I forgive someone when I truly don't understand what it is to forgive?"
I think I can work on that now.
