My theory proved correct
Jan. 16th, 2007 08:30 pmThis is so funky, I had these really old pillar candles that I've been burning. Actually, I've been burning every candle in the house so it will make my apartment warmer. Anyway, I have these cylindrical hurricane shades that I put over them. I noticed that the wax pools were almost overflowing, so I decided to get a paper plate and place them on that in case the wax edge broke. I took off the hurricane shades when I did that and just placed them on the plate. After a while, I noticed the edges had cooled and there wasn't a danger of the wax overflowing anymore. Huh. So, I decided to test something. I put the hurricane shields back over the candles. After an hour or so, the wax had overflowed over the candles, had filled up the sides of the hurricane shield, and the wax was melted across the whole thing. Now my hurricane shields are acting as container candles. laugh. Guess I was right.
Maia's so funny
Jan. 16th, 2007 08:34 pm This is her first time ever being out in snow. She doesn't know what to make of it. I took video of her earlier feeling her way through the snow and leaping back to the door. She's out exploring in the snow right now. It's so funny watching her navigate what's solid ground and what's not. Good thing she has those furry paws of hers. :D
I just wish I could email that video of her off my phone so everyone can see it. But it's 58k too large to send. Fucking phone, letting me shoot long videos, but not letting me get it off the phone. SUCKS!
I LOVE MY MAIA!!!!! :D
